Toontastic
This free app walks users through creating a puppet show using a story arc. During each scene users record themselves moving puppets while telling a story. At the end your animations and voice recording are played back in a cartoon. This app is great for teaching key storytelling principles through the spoken introduction of each scene in the story arc.

Students will predict and read about an USA Today article on the significance of placing Navy Sailors on U.S. Postal Stamps, specifically, Dorie Miller. Students will analyze the significance of Dorie Miller’s actions during Pearl Harbor and what it means to be a hero.
