Wayzata School District needed to provide their students and teachers with innovative equipment to successfully prepare for the future.
With a skill-based technology curriculum already in place, Independent School District 284 is determined to be a progressive school providing the best technology to successfully prepare their students for the future.
To implement the needed innovative technology, Tierney Brothers furnished classrooms with Epson LCD projectors that work with 77-inch SMART Boards providing vivid, interactive computer images for digital instruction. These are accompanied by Phonic Ear Soundfield systems with four ceiling speakers and wireless microphones for teachers so all audio instruction can be clearly heard.
Document cameras are used for enhanced image sharing of documents, pictures, or objects. An Extron MediaLink control panel allows teachers ease of use to choose sources to the SMART Board and control the system in the classroom.
Impact:
- User-friendly systems allow even those with minimal technological expertise to easily navigate and run the system, providing the best educational experience for students
- Integration of state-of-the-art equipment allows the Wayzata School District to stay competitive and give teachers and students the equipment necessary to prepare for the future
- Allows teachers to expand their methods of teaching and improves student involvement and achievement
