AV Markets / House of Worship / Case Study St. Vincent DePaul

When the audio/visual system in the Church of St. Vincent DePaul no longer met the needs of its parishioners, Tierney Brothers, Inc. knew how to update their space.

St. Vincent DePaul parish is composed of 3,550 families drawn from Osseo, Maple Grove, Brooklyn Park, Chaplin and Dayton. A new school, gymnasium, kitchen and dining hall were added in 1998-99 and six additional classrooms were added in 2002. Originally designed for 16-mm movie-viewing, the equipment in the church no longer met their needs.

The solution Tierney Brothers provided was two LCD projectors with short throw lenses to be integrated into the existing rear projection rooms. All input sources, such as computer and video, are managed with the Analogue Way Smart Cut Two Switcher System. The connections for the computer and VCR as well as the cable running to the rear projection system were professionally installed.

Impact:

  • The new projection system created top-notch imaging to match the historic significance of the over 150-year-old parish
  • Information can now be presented in a more precise manner for a better educational environment for parishioners and guests
