Designed and installed several multi-media conference rooms

The main conference room features a ceiling installed projector with a tensioned electric screen and includes input sources from a DVD/VCR player, 3 laptop connections and one dedicated PC connection in the audio visual equipment rack. In addition, to expand the display viewing area, two 42” plasmas were installed in the back half of the room to display the same sources as the projector.

The video conferencing setup in each conference room consists of two 50” plasma screens installed at the front of the room. The displays show the content from any of the laptop connections, the camera, or DVD/VCR which can also be sent to the other sites. The two plasmas in the second half of the room have the capability to display the front two plasmas in a split screen mode. The audio is divided into two zones and includes two lavalier and one handheld wireless microphone system for voice augmentation. The video conferencing system allows laptop presentations to be viewed by all sites.

The multi-point control unit is used for connecting up to 40 video and 32 audio sites at one time. A custom designed podium is used to house the DVD/VCR, PC, a wireless keyboard and mouse, connection for a laptop and a 15” wireless touch panel used as a monitor and for room control. A 15” SMART Sympodium is also at the podium and used for interactive pen annotations and notes during presentations. A SMART interactive white board mounted on a floor stand is used for collaborative meetings. Information displayed and annotated on the white board can also be viewed remotely during video conferencing.
