AV Markets / Corporate / Case Study Washburn-McReavy Funeral Chapel

The vision for this new location was to create an audio visual system that would be discrete yet offer unique services not yet available at their other locations or any other funeral homes

The Chapel included a bright long throw projector hidden in the wall at the back of the room with a recessed Dalite electric screen installed in front of a rock wall with a water fall. A ceiling mounted Vaddio pan/tilt/zoom camera is used to monitor the funeral services from the A/V head end. A video camera and a DVD recorder provide the ability to record the video output of the service for the family. As an additional service, Washburn McReavy creates videos with music for the family and will provide duplicates.

In the Community room, a ceiling recessed retractable-lift long throw projector is installed at the back of the room and displayed on a ceiling recessed Dalite electric screen. Video and computer inputs can be displayed in the Community room from the Chapel or the room can be used separately for grief counseling or when the funeral home has multiple visitations.

Impact:

  • Instant peace of mind for the families
  • Thoughtful and caring visual presentations for visitors
  • Simple, yet elegant, control system which required minimal training
  • Success measured by customer satisfaction and increased business through an additional revenue stream.
  • Increased interest in funeral chapels and increased demand for audiovisual services.
