AV Markets / Corporate / Case Study John Deere

John Deere consulted with Tierney Brothers to create a state-of-the-art training facility.

Tierney Brothers Inc. surveyed each room and carefully took into consideration the needs and technological advances John Deere was looking for to meet its needs. TBI installed ceiling mounted high resolution projectors along with ceiling recessed electric screens. In addition, flush mounted speakers were installed in each of the rooms. The flush mounted speakers and the ceiling recessed screens allow the room to be utilized in several different ways and provides a crisp, clean, professional look to the room. Each room has the ability to interface with a laptop, vcr/dvd system, and has state-of-the-art sound quality, all controlled at the touch of a button. The control panel is located in each room in a discreet yet convenient location allowing the user the ability to quickly and smoothly switch from one feature to another.

Communication and sound quality in each room and throughout the facility was an important issue for John Deere. Tierney Brothers understands the importance and need for practical communication vehicles and installed several systems to help John Deere effectively communicate with trainees and employees at the training facility. In the training rooms, TBI installed audio systems that corresponded with wireless lapel microphones allowing the user to easily move throughout the room and still provide excellent sound quality. Wired microphones were also installed in the training rooms, to support a more formal lecture type training experience. In addition to the training rooms, an Information Distribution System was incorporated into the entire training facility. The system installed at John Deere consisted of two ceiling mounted LCD televisions located in the employee cafeteria and the main lobby, allowing for quick distribution of important messages. Supplementing the televisions was an emergency paging system. This system was located throughout the building and could spread a message creates an environment that provides quickly and effectively. Important messages could be pre-recorded into a digital audio player using a webpage and could be dispersed at specific times and intervals throughout the day.
